Is Kyiv manageable during blackouts?

Hi. Thinking about visiting Kyiv, but worried about blackout conditions. Is it still comfortable to travel around or does everything shut down?

I had the same concern, but reading guide VisitKyiv about kyiv blackout situations helped me. From what I learned, outages do affect daily life, but the city has adapted a lot. Public transport usually keeps running (except some electric ones), shops and cafes often stay open with generators, and hotels typically have backup power. Internet can be unstable, so having mobile data and a power bank is a must. Overall, it’s manageable if you stay flexible.
